Major setback for Rooney

Wayne Rooney has had another dissapointing injury and is out for up to four weeks. The injury was to his ankle during a training session.

It means he misses England’s important Euro 2008 qualifier against Croatia at Wembley on 21 November.

Rooney has scored seven goals in his last seven United games and was in excellent form.

He will miss league games against Blackburn, Bolton and Fulham, and possibly Derby on 8 December, as well as United’s next Champions League match against Sporting Lisbon.
