Personal Life

• Wayne grew up on the Croxteth housing estate in East Liverpool. Locals still call his old home “the big white house”, even though it’s no bigger than the others!
• Wayne’s former home in Croxteth lies empty. But scratched on one of the windows are the words: “WR, Rooney E.F.C.” - the graffiti of a footballing dreamer!
